Finding an item

Once you have been registered on Dewgraze (its free - just click on Register at the top of any page) you must log-in to be able to bid on or buy an item in the Buy.

If you're not sure what you're after, use the Categories navigation system to browse auctions in a particular category you're interested in. If you're after something more specific, you can find auctions using the Search facility. Type general keywords into the Search box (top right of the page) that best describe what you are looking for. A list of live auctions matching your search critera will be displayed.

After finding an auction that attracts your attention, click on it to display the detailed listing. It is strongly recommended to read the complete description provided for the item, including acceptable payment method(s) and any returns policy. At the same time, don't forget to check out the Seller's background by clicking on the Reputation rating next to the Seller's username (the number in sqaure brackets). Don't be overly cautious as everyone starts with a zero (0) Reputation rating.

Winning an item

After finding the item you want, you must decide how you want to purchase it. Dewgraze allows you either bid for an item or buy it instantly using the Buy Now feature (when available).

The Bidding Process

To bid on an item, just click on the Bid Now button to place your bid. Each bid placed increases the price by one percent (1%) of the Current Price and extends the auction's duration by a maximum of twenty (20) seconds. The winning bid is the last one to be placed before Time Left countdown timer reaches zero. You need never worry again about someone pinching your item in the last second.

There is no guaranteed strategy to ensure you win as everybody has an equal playing ground, but there are a few points worth noting if you want to tip the balance in your favour.

• Bid as late as possible - Wait for the Time Left countdown timer to reach the last minute before placing your bid (but don't leave it to the last second or else you may miss out).
• Check out the competition - Keep an eye on bidders who are aggressively bidding on an item you are interested in. You have a better chance of winning if there are less people equally interested in an item as you are.
• Timing is everything - Choose your time of day carefully as the amount of bidders varies throughout the day. You might be able to snatch an item while someone else is distracted with other things.

Outbidding

The last person to place a bid is always the highest bidder. When there are many bidders interested in a particular item you may find that your bid is immediately outbidded by another user. This happens as there are many bids are being placed continuously, and often simultaneously, within a very short amount of time.

Troubleshooting

Rarely you might find that a bid placed in the final seconds before an auction ends fails to register. This is an unfortunate and inherent fault of the Internet due to 'lag', which is a symptom that causes the result of an action to appear later than expected. The most common cause for lag is an overloaded Internet connection. Dewgraze sincerely apologises if this symptom has affected the acknowledgement of your bid on an auction and advise you not leave your bid until the last second. Dewgraze recommends users to not download large files, watch streaming videos, or share your Internet connection with other people while you are bidding.

The Buy Now Process

Sometimes you just have to buy an item there and then. If you see a Buy Now price on a listing, click the corresponding Buy Now button to purchase the item immediately and avoid the bidding process. The Seller determined the Buy Now price prior to the live auction and that is the total price you pay. Free delivery is included as standard on all Dewgraze auctions.

Current Auctions

To bid on an auction you must be registered. Live auctions run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week allowing you to bid whenever is convenient to you. There are no limits on how many auctions you can participate in and win.

Ended Auctions

Auctions end once the 'Time Left' countdown timer reaches zero and indicates the auction has 'Ended'.

Won Auctions

Items you have won appear on your account page with instructions on what to do next. You must pay any outstanding amounts for the won item within seven days otherwise we will assume that you no longer wish to claim it.

Paying for an item

Now that you've won your chosen item, you can pay for it using any of the methods described in the item's listing. If this information is unclear, click on the Contact Seller link to enquire on what the prefered payment method is. Remember that the Seller will only despatch an item to you once it has been paid for so please ensure you pay as soon as possible. Once it item arrives, make sure it is what you ordered and is as described. It is courteous to leave feedback for the Seller, especially if you are happy with your purchase, and it is also simple way of saying "Thank You". Any feedback left is permanent so please ensure your comments are fair and truthful.
