What am I selling?

Once you have been registered on Dewgraze (click Register at the top of any page), you must log-in to be able to sell an item.

Before listing your item for sale, it is recommended to do some research into its value as well as how to write a good description and point out key highlights. This can be acheieved by looking at other users' listings and observing which auctions get the highest bids.

You can access the listing insertion form by clicking on Sell from the top navigation bar or through your account dashboard.

Listing an item for sale

The listing form is self-explanatory, but hints have been provided along the way incase you are unsure of what information to provide. Ensure the Title of your listing only contains the name of your item. You can always add a Strapline to provide further information about the Title. The Description should be as comprehensive and easy to understand as possible. What information you would like to see if you were the Buyer? Honesty is the best policy here to avoid aftersale issues.

Always try to include an image of your item. Buyers like to see what they purchasing and it is a sure-fire way to attract more Buyers. Finally, you are not forced to choose to any particular format of listing as Dewgraze gives you the freedom to have both an auction-style Starting Price and a fixed Buy Now price.

The Bidding Process

All auctions must at least have a Starting price to kick off with. For each bid placed, the price increases by one percent (1%) of the Current Price and extends the auction's duration by a maximum of twenty (20) seconds. The winning bid is the last one to be placed before Time Left countdown timer reaches zero. This is the most popular listing format as it ensures you get the best possible price for your item.

The Buy Now Process

As a Seller, you should have a good idea of what price you expect for your item. By entering a Buy Now price, you can be sure to get the amount you want and also atrract more Buyers by giving them the chance to purchase your item instantly. If the highest bid amount exceeds the Buy Now price, then the Buy Now facility will automatically dissapear from your listing.

Getting paid for an item

Now that you've sold your item, you need to receive payment before despatching it to the winner. Please be patient with Buyers as funds may not be immediately available to make payment. Seven (7) days is a reasonable concession to allow before chasing payment. Once you are paid make sure you despatch the item as soon as possible. It is courteous to leave feedback for the Buyer, especially if you are happy with the transaction and want to encourage repeat business. It is also a simple way of saying "Thank You". Any feedback left is permanent so please ensure your comments are fair and truthful.
